The Circle of First Nations Métis and Inuit Students and the Canadian Federation of Students stands in solidarity with Fairy Creek and the blockades by the Pacheedaht First Nation. Logging old-growth hurts Mother Earth and is causing further problems with climate change.

The actions by the RCMP are unacceptable. Reconciliation is an obligation by Canada and the RCMP. The concerns that are causing deforestation must be dealt with to uphold the nation-to-nation relationship that Canada has with the Pacheedaht First Nation. The duty to honour free, prior and informed consent stands true. We must do better.
