VANCOUVER--The Canadian Federation of Students' cross-Canada Students for Sustainability Campus Tour will reach BC on October 28 with an all day event at UBC-Okanagan, before moving onto Vancouver and Victoria. In Vancouver, keynote speaker Stephen Lewis will discuss the impact of climate change in the developing world, while environmental activist Severn Suzuki will discuss Canada's role as international global citizens in meeting today's environmental challenges, and professional Ironman triathlete Brendan Brazier will discuss the energy requirement of food production. Severn Suzuki, Brendan Brazier, and renowned yoga instructor Yasmin Gow will also take part in the tour stops in Kelowna and Victoria.

The Canadian Federation of Students, in partnership with the David Suzuki Foundation and the Sierra Youth Coalition, launched the Students for Sustainability Campus Tour to highlight the actions students are taking in support of the environment, encourage students to get involved with sustainability initiatives and pressure the federal government to take action against climate change.
